Robin Hood lived In Sherwood Forest. He was brave and generous. He robbed the rich and helped the poor. One morning Robin Hood met a butcher in the forest. He stopped him and bought all his meat and horse too. Butcher exchanged clothes with Robin. Robin rode straight to Nottingham and found himself a place at the market square. He offered his meat at a very low price therefore people were buying only from him. Other sellers were angry. They went to the sheriff with complaint. He was a very greedy person so he thought he had a chance of doing very profitable business. He invited disguised Robin to dinner in his house. The sheriff’s wife received the guest very kindly. Robin said that he owns plenty of cattle so he can offer the meat at such a low price. Pretended butcher promised to take the Sheriff to see his beef cattle. Next day they set out together. The Sheriff had three money bags with him. They took the road towards Sherwood forest. Seeing this Sheriff began to feel nervous. Robin pointed at a herd of deers. He said that these are his horned beasts. Sheriff realized what happened and wanted to escape, but Robin stopped him. Robin’s men went out from behind the trees and opened Sheriff’s bags. They found there a whole lot of gold coins. Robin let prisoner go free because his wife served him kindly at the table.
